La Ocurrencia De Accidentes De Trabajo Y La Competitividad En Puertos Del Golfo De Mã‰Xico

Abstract

La competitividad de las organizaciones, públicas y privadas, depende en gran medida de los costos de operación que tengan dichas organizaciones; es decir, mientras menores costos de operación se tengan, se puede ser mas competitivo. Además, dichos costos dependen de diferentes factores: la cantidad y la calidad de la mano de obra, las materias primas utilizadas en la fabricación de un producto, los procedimientos y estándares de trabajo con que se labore, etc. y, por supuesto, dependen en gran parte de los accidentes que se tengan en la operación cotidiana. Un accidente ocasiona paros de trabajo, incapacidades de empleados, incremento en las primas de riesgos de trabajo por parte de la seguridad social, etc. En este trabajo se aborda la relación que pueda existir entre la capacitación que se imparte a los trabajadores, la frecuencia con que se presenten los accidentes y como impactan su competitividad.
