El rol de la economía popular y solidaria en el Ecuador. Período 1990 – 2014

Abstract

El artículo aborda el tema del rol que ejerce la Economía popular y solidaria en la economía ecuatoriana, constituyendo el motor y la fuerza que impulsa su desarrollo, además de ser el acelerador de su crecimiento. Se abordan las causas que provocaron la incursión de los ecuatorianos dentro del sistema social y solidario. Se indagan los obstáculos que enfrentan los actores de la EPS y los principales limitantes en el acceso al crédito. Finalmente se analizan las diferencias entre la EPS y la economía de mercado exponiendo como desafío actual prioritario la participación activa de todos los actores del sistema social y solidario.
