Análisis de los factores de crecimiento de la economía cubana

Abstract

El presente artículo, se divide en dos partes, la primera trata desde el punto de vista teórico, las relaciones existentes entre los principales agregados macroeconómicos y la balanza de pago; y en un segundo momento se analizan los resultados de estos agregados macroeconómicos en el período 2007- 2012 así como su incidencia en la balanza de pago, señalándose las principales causas del crecimiento económico de Cuba. Como conclusión se muestra que el incremento del PIB no es un factor estimulante del crecimiento económico, sino por el contrario, es resultado de políticas contractivas del consumo y de las importaciones por una parte, y del incremento de las exportaciones de servicios por otra; llegándose a confirmar la necesidad de un cambio en la política de inversión para estimular un verdadero crecimiento económico.
