Género y microcrédito; sus implicaciones en el desarrollo socioeconómico en la comunidad Malacatos de la República del Ecuador

Abstract

El enfoque de género además de permitirnos analizar la sociedad, desde esta mirada, implica dar respuesta a las exigencias de la sociedad actual en lograr la equidad de género con iguales oportunidades para hombres y mujeres en relación a los aportes personales, familiares y a la sociedad. Entonces valorar este aspecto y desde la óptica del microcrédito que permite el emprendimiento mediante la creación de negocios dirigidos al mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de las personas que no cuentan con recursos económicos suficientes, es significativo. Partiendo de este supuesto, y con un proceso reflexivo se aplican métodos y técnicas de investigación en la comunidad de Malacatos, perteneciente al cantón Loja de la República del Ecuador, para conocer el comportamiento y la utilización de microcréditos. Así como la participación de la mujer en este proceso. Se utilizó una muestra de 211 habitantes con acceso a microcréditos, corroborando que el 67.77 % corresponden a mujeres emprendedoras. El 100% manifiestan que el microcrédito ha mejorado las condiciones de vida de sus familias principalmente en vivienda, alimentación, salud, educación y vestimentas.
