Abstract

Desde el origen de la producción de mercancías, ha habido preocupación por la seguridad de los trabajadores, conforme pasaron los años se fueron analizando los problemas que surgieron. Aparece así la necesidad de crear procedimientos que ayuden a la prevención de accidentes y enfermedades laborales. El desarrollo de la seguridad e higiene comienza en la revolución industrial en el siglo XVIII en Inglaterra. No fue hasta el año de 1855 que se formularon las primeras leyes. En América se han ido dando posteriormente.
