Caracterización De Pyme Comercial Del Cantón Machala, 2012

Abstract

Al considerar el papel de la pequeña y mediana empresa (PYME) en la economía de los países emergentes, se destaca su papel como eje dinamizador y creador de empleo directo. Por lo que se vuelve imperativo conocerla más de cerca para el diseño de políticas y estrategias más efectivas en la búsqueda de su fomento y desarrollo competitivo. Esta realidad no es ajena en nuestro país, se constata al ver la contribución de la PYME en el PIB no petrolero: 13%, y el significativo 1.2 millones de personal laboral ocupado (FENAPI); su importancia económica se destaca, pero pese a esto el estudio detallado que muestre sus características, necesidades y fortalezas es aún extraño y poco sistematizado en nuestro medio. Esta investigación por consiguiente pretende establecer un perfil de la PYME, específicamente de la PYME comercial circunscrita en el cantón Machala, no sin antes reseñar que la ausencia de investigaciones en este tema y en nuestro contexto es un incentivo para llevarlo a cabo por el impacto real que se puede desprender de los resultados obtenidos.
