Abstract

Este artigo tem a finalidade de analisar as atividades e estabelecimentos de duas Regiões de Integração do Estado do Pará - Tocantins e Carajás - nos anos de 2000, 2005 e 2010 através da análise de indicadores econômicos que definem as economias dos municípios de acordo com a Matriz Bidimensional do Dinamismo Econômico. O trabalho obteve resultados coerentes com a dinâmica produtiva das regiões pesquisadas, evidenciando a relevância econômica do município de Marabá, situado na Região de Integração de Carajás. Outros municípios que se sobressaíram em termos econômicos foram Parauapebas, Barcarena e Abaetetuba sendo o primeiro, situado na Região de Integração de Carajás e o restante, na de Tocantins, abordando o caráter polarizador destes, frente as suas regiões de influência. O estudo pode ser tomado como norte para uma melhor aplicação das políticas públicas, além de servir de subsídio para empreendedores que almejam à expansão dos seus negócios.
