Abstract

Bolivia ha experimentado, desde mediados de los años ochenta, varios períodos de crecimiento económico bajo los enfoques de desarrollo fundamentados en la contrarrevolución neoclásica y en el enfoque favorable al mercado. Ahora bien, a pesar del crecimiento económico del país y de la mejora de sus indicadores de desarrollo, la reducción de su pobreza de ingresos no ha estado acorde con estas mejoras. Además, las reformas institucionales y sociales apoyadas por la cooperación internacional tampoco han apoyado la reducción de esta pobreza de ingresos, dado que su impacto se ha centrado, fundamentalmente, en la mejora de los indicadores de desarrollo no monetarios.
