El Impacto De La Tarifa Eléctrica Subsidiada Sobre La Adopción De Tecnología De Riego En México

Abstract

El objetivo general de la investigación consistió en medir la relación existente entre el precio del agua y el cambio en la adopción de tecnología de riego, coadyuvando con ello a una diversidad de alternativas para los productores que les permitan un crecimiento económico sostenido y un uso racional del agua. Se determinó si el subsidio al recurso hídrico distorsiona los incentivos de ahorro, suponiendo que eso, origina un retraso en el cambio tecnológico y por lo tanto, la actual sobreexplotación del recurso. Se emplea un modelo econométrico probit para medir la adopción de tecnología ante la tarifa eléctrica para bombeo de agua para riego agrícola.
