Abstract

O epicentro da crise sendo os EUA, o governo Bush elaborou um plano de socorro aos bancos de investimentos da ordem de mais de um trilhão de dólares. A reação dos contribuintes norteamericanos foi imediata condenando o plano de Bush que pretendia de uma só vez salvar os bancos às custas dos contribuintes sem garantias para cobrir os títulos podres ou os chamados subprimes em poder dos bancos quebrados pela crise de liquidez em decorrência da crise do financiamento de habitações dada a permissão de hipotecas que geravam liquidez ( dinheiro no bolso) para o consumo dos norteamericanos.
