El sistema financiero rural y el papel de las Dispersoras e Intermediarios Financieros Rurales. El caso de la zona centro del estado de Veracruz

Abstract

En este documento primeramente se analiza y discute la problemática que plantea, entre otros aspectos, el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo 2000-2006 relativo a la carencia de un sistema financiero rural, cuyas características principales son. que ofrezca servicios accesibles al sector primario agropecuario de la economía mexicana. De igual forma se analizan las medidas llevadas a cabo por el Gobierno Mexicano, tendientes a atender este referido sector, después de la liquidación de la antigua banca de desarrollo (Banrural). Esto, con objeto de hacer mas eficiente el crédito, y que permita financiar a un mayor numero de productores, a un mínimo costo de operación, y con acceso a un mayor numero de productores del campo mexicano. Con estos argumentos se llega a una discusión sobre los fundamentos teóricos y empíricos, que son la base para definir el modelo de estudio que se habrá de abordar en la investigación.
