Out la Independencia del BCV

Abstract

Debido a la solicitud de Reforma Constitucional que adelanta el Ejecutivo, nuevamente entra en el debate público el tema de la hasta ahora supuesta “independencia” del Banco Central. Y es que pareciera que con la reforma se pondrá por escrito y con carácter constitucional algo que todos en este país sabemos que viene ocurriendo en los últimos años, y es la pérdida paulatina de autonomía del ente emisor. Ya el BCV no es quien administra las Reservas Internacionales, publica cifras diferentes al Ministerio de Finanzas en cuanto a endeudamiento, etc., en fin, pareciera que cada día sus funciones son menos reconocidas y autónomas.
