Abstract

For the last decades, we attend on the recommendations of the International Financial Institutions to the privatization of several thousands public companies. If often this process has been carried with success in the countries developed, it seems that it was a failure in many countries of the Third World. This document has as objective to analyze the process of reform of the public companies initialized in Haiti since 1994 until 2001. It shows that on the whole the results of this reform’s process were disappointing.
