‘He Xie She Hui’, una sociedad armoniosa ¿Es posible la responsabilidad social corporativa en China?

Abstract

Desde 2006, la doctrina oficial del Partido Comunista Chino persigue la creación de una “sociedad armoniosa” (hexie shehui). El liderazgo de Hu Jintao reconoce así los nuevos problemas asociados a la extraordinaria expansión económica china. La economía crece, pero crecen también las tensiones derivadas de una mayor desigualdad social, daños medioambientales, problemas de salud pública, la diversidad étnica y los esfuerzos por desmantelar el sistema de empleo público conocido como “cuenco de hierro para el arroz”2. Para los profesionales de la empresa, una de las repercusiones más destacadas de las nuevas prioridades del PCC es la introducción de conceptos y actitudes propias de la sostenibilidad y la responsabilidad social corporativa en el ámbito empresarial del país asiático.
