Explorando la educación ambiental en México, a través de letras de canciones

Abstract

Partiendo de una definición de educación ambiental, se analiza el potencial educativo ambiental que presentan 8 canciones, muy escuchadas en México, interpretadas por 6 agrupaciones o solistas del circuito comercial. Los criterios utilizados para definir dicho potencial son: a) Las letras promueven más la información, que los valores; b) Las letras promueven los valores pero no desarrollan la información; c) Las letras promueven los valores, con información adecuada. Esta última es la categoría más completa pues incluye conocimientos y valores. Los resultados muestran que: de las analizadas, una letra está en la categoría a), 2 en la b) y 5 están en la categoría c), por lo que el potencial educativo ambiental de esta muestra es bueno. Se analizaron letras de dos intérpretes nacionales no comerciales y se encontró buen potencial educativo ambiental, así como también, las letras de dos intérpretes no nacionales.
