Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como finalidad la elaboración de un herbicida natural a partir de la extracción de la pulpa mucilaginosa del cacao (Theobroma cacao) para la eliminación de las diferentes malezas en los crecimientos de cultivos. Se ha investigado y desarrollado con dos tipos de cacao: cacao CCN51 y cacao nacional; y mediante ensayos experimentales se ha podido determinar la mezcla adecuada de pulpa mucilaginosa y agua destilada para destruir la maleza sin afectar el uso suelo o de plantaciones a su alrededor. Con los resultados obtenidos en el proceso de extracción se demuestra que el tipo de cacao influye en la velocidad de eliminación de la maleza, ya que, usando diferentes tipos de cacaos en iguales cantidades, uno actúo más rápido sobre la maleza que otro.
