Abstract

La identificación de los problemas en comunidades apartadas y sus posibles soluciones con los recursos locales son de vital importancia para su desarrollo sostenible. El trabajo se realizó en el territorio de la Parroquia Bruzual, Municipio Muñoz del Estado Apure, Venezuela en el año 2012, con el objetivo de caracterizar el agro ecosistema del Eje Productivo El Setenta-Boca de Guaritico, así como determinar sus problemas y soluciones para el desarrollo local sostenible. Se condujo una investigación participativa con los consejos comunales, visitas a personas e instituciones públicas, así como una revisión documental en la Alcaldía. Los problemas detectados en cuanto a la sostenibilidad del agro ecosistema se concentran en la resiliencia social y económica y la estabilidad económica y social. Se propusieron un grupo de alternativas agroecológicas con los recursos propios del agro ecosistema que pueden dar solución a los problemas que presentaron mayores dificultades. Un conjunto de indicadores propuestos permiten evaluar las propiedades del agro ecosistema considerando las dimensiones de sostenibilidad ecológica, económica y social de la transformación agraria planificada, pero requieren la participación de los distintos decisores de la producción y los servicios a nivel de municipio.
