Abstract

Por años el tema sobre la contaminación ambiental y sus problemáticas ha sido tratado por varios autores en diversos escenarios del ámbito organizacional, político, económico, cultural y social, cobrando cada vez más relevancia, debido a la urgencia que existe en disminuir la producción de agentes contaminantes en el mundo. Esta investigación hace referencia a la Perspectiva de la Población santiaguera sobre las Problemáticas Ambientales de su ciudad, Santiago de los Caballeros, República Dominicana. Partiendo del hecho de que la población ha tenido un crecimiento constante, lo que se considera como un factor que contribuye al aumento de la contaminación. Como objetivo general se persigue obtener información de cómo la población santiaguera percibe las problemáticas ambientales de su entorno y para el cumplimiento de dicho objetivo, y otros más definidos en la introducción, se ha acudido a la aplicación del método no experimental, usando la encuesta como instrumento de recolección de datos; apoyada del método analítico descriptivo para la presentación de las informaciones obtenidas.
