Abstract

Com a criação das cidades, processos de industrialização, fluxos migratórios intensos do meio rural para o urbano, começam a aparecer problemas estruturais no espaço urbano envolvendo poluição, organização sócio espacial e questões ligadas à saúde e qualidade de vida Em face desse cenário é que surgem os parques urbanos, como área verde pública de utilização, com características, objetivos e funções próprias para a revitalização, embelezamento da cidade e melhoria da qualidade de vida e ambiental, levando ainda em consideração o local em que está instalado e a frequência de indivíduos que utilizam este espaço.
