La Educación Ambiental Formal En El Contexto Social De La Educación Informal Y De Los Medios De Comunicación

Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza la contradicción que hay entre la educación ambiental formal y los medios de comunicación potenciados actualmente por las tecnologías de información y comunicación, reflejo de la contradicción entre lo que debe promover este tipo de educación y lo que propugna la ideología dominante en gran parte de los países de América Latina. Lo anterior se fundamenta en la naturaleza política de la educación en general y de la educación ambiental en particular. Se muestra que la educación ambiental, sobre todo la formal, se ve fuertemente afectada por los medios de comunicación a través de la cada vez más importante fuente de socialización: la educación informal.
