Abstract

Los métodos utilizados para evaluar el impacto económico de los proyectos de transporte han evolucionado continuamente a través del tiempo, considerando que, una vez que la evaluación del impacto económico se centró en el cálculo del beneficio económico, ahorro de tiempo y costo para las personas y para los productos, ahora se pueden abarcar más factores, tales como las funciones de accesibilidad a las cadenas de suministro, la expansión del mercado de trabajo, el crecimiento del comercio mundial y sus repercusiones en el desarrollo económico, esta visión puede ser particularmente importante cuando se considera a los proyectos de transporte interconectados a la red de distribución de los centros logísticos, a las terminales intermodales y a los puertos internacionales.
