Abstract

O presente artigo buscará tratar, a partir de uma breve revisão bibliográfica, acerca de uma das principais características do debate em torno da politica, que é a questão da representação, suas origens e algumas polêmicas. A problemática em torno do aspecto representativo da politica é tão antigo quanto a própria existência da esfera coletiva de poder. Diversos pontos fomentaram polemicas e discussões que possibilitaram a evolução de tal perspectiva. Desde os tempos longínquos da antiguidade clássica, com a formação das primeiras, e primitivas, esferas estatais o conceito de representação está presente.
