Desigualdad y pobreza: deterioro de las condiciones de vida en España

Abstract

en este artículo analizamos el impacto de la crisis económica iniciada con la implosión de la "burbuja inmobiliaria" en 2007 sobre la calidad de vida en España. Concretamente nos interesa conocer la evolución del grado de desigualdad y pobreza, indicadores básicos para conocer el nivel de desarrollo de un país. Tanto el Índice de Gini como la ratio S80/S20 muestran una creciente desigualdad en los ingresos de los hogares. Actualmente hay en España 12.371.000 personas en situación de pobreza y riesgo de exclusión social, el 27% de la población. Entre la población más joven, la tasa de pobreza supera el 34%. Sólo 49 de cada 100 parados cobra algún tipo de prestación y hay 1.906.100 los hogares en los que todos sus miembros están en paro.
