Los Clásicos Y El Mercado De Trabajo

Abstract

La controversia teórica en economía durante los dos últimos siglos, podría fácilmente centrarse en las distintas condiciones que suponen, en los mercados de trabajo, las diferentes corrientes de pensamiento económico. Las discrepancias respecto al grado de competitividad que asumen en los mercados de productos y factores y su relación con las causas de la imperfección en la competencia, sintetizan la esencia del debate teórico. Tanto Smith como David Ricardo suponen mercados de productos perfectamente competitivos. Así, se explica la teoría del valor del primero, como el precio natural, al cual oferta y demanda se igualan y también la teoría del valor-trabajo del segundo, cuando una oferta excedente de mano de obra permite un salario de subsistencia.
