Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es hacer un recorrido por la evolución de la administración en consonancia con la evolución del capitalismo y algunas corrientes sociológicas, psicológicas, tecnológicas y económicas. La intención no es hacer una exposición siguiendo una estricta secuencia cronológica sino analizar los hitos más importantes y darle algún orden lógico. Además el escrito reflexiona sobre el carácter científico de la administración y presenta la posición del autor en torno al debate ya conocido de si es posible o no considerar la administración como ciencia.
