Abstract

Os números-índices caracterizam-se por serem um importante instrumento de medidas estatísticas, freqüentemente, usados para comparar variáveis econômicas relacionadas entre si, para obter uma análise simples e resumida das mudanças ocorridas ao longo do tempo ou em diferentes lugares. Visamos informar e esclarecer a importância que esse representa no dia-a-dia das pessoas e onde são implantados. Enfatizaremos os números-índices de Índice de Laspeyres, Paasche e Fisher, os quais são os mais utilizados.
