Abstract

La economía de Australia ha gozado de un sólido desempeño durante los últimos once años, ubicándose entre las de mayor crecimiento de los países miembros de la OECD. Lo anterior, ha sido el resultado de la introducción de reformas en el mercado laboral, mejoras en el sistema financiero y el sistema impositivo, así como las reducciones arancelarias, que la han dotado de una gran capacidad para sortear las tendencias y desequilibrios de la economía mundial aumentando sus posibilidades de respuesta convirtiéndola en una economía internacionalmente competitiva. align="justify">A pesar de las fortalezas de la economía australiana, la aguda crisis por la que atraviesa el sistema capitalista se está haciendo sentir sobre este país. Por esta razón es nuestro objetivo analizar el impacto de la crisis económica mundial en la economía de Australia.
