Abstract

Las profesiones han sido un elemento característico del siglo XX. Pese a esta importancia, el análisis de las mismas no despertó demasiada atención académica. Este ensayo pretende ser un recorrido por diferentes estudios que posaron su mirada en la formación de grupos expertos. Una lectura crítica de los textos dedicados a estos temas puede que nos brinde pistas sobre un proceso donde interactuaron elementos materiales, culturales y simbólicos. No trata de presentar una única forma de apreciar este fenómeno, sino revisar una serie de hipótesis elaboradas desde muy diversos ángulos. El objetivo de este trabajo es, entonces, posibles caminos por podría circular la historia de las profesiones en espacios donde esta temática ha sido ciertamente descuidada.
