El proceso de internacionalización del sector energético español: Análisis de caso Repsol-YPF

Abstract

En el trabajo se destacan la complementación de factores que, partiendo del proceso de privatización del sector energético llevado a cabo por el gobierno español, culminaron con la adquisición de Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales (YPF) por parte de Repsol durante la década de los noventa. En este marco se pone énfasis en el significado político y económico de la marea de privatizaciones y desregulaciones de diversos sectores en manos del Estado; particularmente del sector energético. Una vez que se contextualiza la situación española, el trabajo se ocupa principalmente de la internacionalización de Repsol específicamente en Argentina, a través de la adquisición de diversas compañías menores hasta llegar, finalmente, a la compra de YPF. En este análisis se identifican los diversos actores argentinos y españoles cuyos comportamientos facilitaron esta operación.
