Definiciones y tendencias del turismo de eventos

Abstract

El Turismo de eventos, representa aproximadamente el 20% de las llegadas internacionales y se caracteriza por ritmos de crecimientos sostenidos, manifestando una alta rentabilidad y contribución al desarrollo de otros sectores relacionados. Para la aclaración de la naturaleza de la modalidad de Turismo de Eventos, es necesario remontarse a sus orígenes y al origen de la industria turística en general, así como establecer el marco conceptual de dicha modalidad, lo que incluye las definiciones propias y sus características específicas, así como los diferentes criterios de clasificación existentes para los eventos lo que constituye el contenido fundamental de este trabajo.
