Legalização da maconha no Brasil: as perspectivas dos discentes de uma universidade pública brasileira

Abstract

O presente estudo analisou, no meio acadêmico de uma Universidade pública brasileira, a percepção dos discentes e os fatores que influenciam a opinião sobre a legalização da maconha no Brasil. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa pautou-se em uma abordagem quantitativa, utilizando a ferramenta estatística regressão logística, sendo que os dados foram coletados via aplicação de questionários. Em relação aos resultados, 61% dos respondentes eram favoráveis à legalização, 31% eram contrários e 8% não tinham opinião formada. Sobre as variáveis, percebeu-se que já ter utilizado o entorpecente se mostrou de grande relevância para ser adepto a legalização, enquanto possuir religião representava uma influência negativa. Uma vez que uma parcela considerável da comunidade universitária apoia a legalização, assevera-se sobre a relevância de manter em pauta discussões sobre este tema, o que contribui para posicionamentos mais seguros por parte das esferas políticas, científicas e sociais.
