A política de promoção da igualdade racial e o desenvolvimento local dos Quilombos

Abstract

Este artigo analisa o papel da política de promoção da igualdade racial e sua evolução recente frente à contribuição para o desenvolvimento das comunidades quilombolas. Avalia a implantação da referida política em âmbito nacional e em municípios mineiros, onde existem comunidades quilombolas, e seu acesso ao Programa Brasil Quilombola, que promove ações destinadas às comunidades relativas ao acesso à terra e infraestrutura, que proporcionem a melhoria da qualidade de vida e desenvolvimento local, com inclusão produtiva, usufruto de direitos e exercício da cidadania. À luz da gestão social, com base em pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, identifica os fatores que facilitam e os que dificultam a implementação da política da igualdade racial.
