Transexualidade e preconceito: conflitos presentes na obra Sergio Y. Vai à América, de Alexandre Vidal Porto

Abstract

A literatura permite uma interlocução com a sociedade e seus conflitos. Desta forma, analisaremos a temática da transexualidade na obra Sergio Y. vai à América, de Alexandre Vidal Porto. Temos como objetivo entender a própria composição do texto literário e os conflitos por ela suscitados, sejam eles individuais ou coletivos na busca pelo pertencimento e conquista da felicidade. Primeiramente, identificaremos o autor e o enredo de sua obra. Em seguida, caracterizaremos brevemente os personagens social e psicologicamente, e consequentemente a temática apresentada por eles. Concluímos que a obra literária estudada cumpre o seu papel de instigar o leitor a refletir sobre seus desafios pessoais e sociais na construção de sua identidade e história.
