Visibilidade Formal E Relaã‡Ã•Es De Conflito Na Reserva Extrativista Do Rio Iriri

Abstract

As Reservas Extrativistas são resultado do processo de luta dos povos e comunidades tradicionais pelo direito de manutenção de suas territorialidades específicas, que se refletem em seu modo de viver. Não obstante a garantia de usufruto da terra para a reprodução social das populações extrativistas tradicionais, consistindo num instrumento de reconhecimento de direitos, esta categoria de Unidade de Conservação têm se mostrado insuficiente para a proteção do modo viver dessas comunidades tradicionais, haja vista o baixo volume de investimento brasileiro nessa área e a dificuldade de acesso a políticas públicas por essas comunidades. Dentro dessa perspectiva, este artigo discute a situação de invisibilidade real das comunidades tradicionais da Reserva Extrativista do Rio Iriri e o decorrente acirramento dos conflitos pelo recurso pesqueiro dentro da RESEX.
