Abstract

El propósito de este ensayo es describir la aproximación de carácter epistemológico entre la ingeniería y las ciencias sociales. Para ello se hace describe históricamente la estructura de la empresa moderna como producto del ejercicio de la ingeniería y su acercamiento a la sociedad como objeto de estudio. Con este objeto, se ha estructurado este ensayo en 4 partes, en la primera se revisa el origen de la empresa moderna, luego se hace una descripción epistemológica del origen de la ingeniería, mientras que en la tercera parte se describe el inicio del encuentro de estas disciplinas, y por último se describen los problemas sociales generados por estas nuevas organizaciones. En este sentido, el ingenio de la ingeniería fue trasladado a la empresa moderna por el ingeniero F. Taylor, creando Administración Científica. Es aquí donde puede decirse que hubo un encuentro epistemológico entre la ingeniería y las ciencias sociales, debido a que, éste aporte generó una nueva estructura empresarial que trajo como consecuencia nuevas dinámicas dentro de la misma que se tradujo en más estratos sociales, generando problemas en la interacción por las comunicación en este sistema de sociedad; concibiendo la necesidad de saberes que los científicos de las ciencias sociales en su ejercicio tienen por objeto de estudio.
