Biografia E Autobiografia: Limites E Possibilidades

Abstract

Diferentemente dos estudos acadêmicos que normalmente são voltados para um reduzido número de pesquisadores, a biografia/autobiografia tornou-se um gênero de grande interesse para o mercado editorial, pois normalmente as pessoas buscam este tipo de leitura para conhecer detalhes sobre a vida de uma pessoa. Destarte, a partir de uma análise qualitativa da literatura, este estudo procura mostrar que se for tomado alguns cuidados, esta documentação pode ir além da valorização dos heróis, da reificação de mitos e de descobertas sobre a vida privada de um personagem. Esta fonte, pode revelar detalhes sobre a sociedade que o biografado viveu; as tensões presentes na sua vida e os fatores que foram determinantes para que a realidade fosse expressa daquela forma.
