Abstract

Este artículo parte del análisis crítico a la Tesis (con igual nombre que esta publicación) que permitió la obtención del grado científico de Licenciada en Ciencias de la Comunicación a la candidata María Belén Valero Machado. El tutor de la investigación científica en mención (asesoría de 700 horas) es quien suscribe estas líneas. La investigación analiza la construcción de discursos narrativos y visuales de dos medios impresos (antagónicos entre sí). Asume una perspectiva epistemológica empírico-materialista, interpretando que el origen y producción del conocimiento procede de la interacción de sujetos con los entes, de la relación entre seres sociales, determinados por su construcción socio-cultural, con las instituciones mediadoras y mediadas que representan y simbolizan el espacio-temporal reinante. Objetivo general: determinar los procesos de construcción discursiva que, sobre la Ley de Seguridad Pública elaboraron, de enero a mayo del 2011 diario El Universo, y diario El Telégrafo.
