Abstract

Los grandes medios de comunicación y como todo en este sistema de consumo han creado la idea del consumo cultural manipulando los símbolos de identidad de cada nación. En este afán los símbolos identatarios son controlados para embellecer y comercializar turísticamente y lo más importante para fijar ideas deterministas que les han servido a los países desarrollados para impulsar la idea de grandeza y superioridad. Para México está situación ha sido permanente desde el momento en que los Estados Unidos empezaron su gran expansión hacia el sur y el oeste de lo que hoy es el territorio de Norteamérica.
