Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es presentar algunas ideas en torno a la emergencia de la sociedad de consumo y la construcción de nuevas prácticas sociales en los espacios de sociabilidad. Estas reflexiones que devienen en marco teórico, son resultado de investigaciones realizadas sobre estos temas en relación con las transformaciones sociales en nuestras ciudades y sus impactos para comprender nuevos fenómenos sociales y culturales, de las que somos testigos, como en este caso específico, la aparición de nuevos segmentos sociales.
