A Utilização Das Lan Houses Na Formação De Uma Nova Sociedade Inclusiva

Abstract

O acesso às Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) é um direito básico do cidadão. Além disso, Castells (2003) ensina que a diferenciação entre os que têm e os que não têm Internet acrescenta uma divisão essencial às fontes já existentes de desigualdade e exclusão social. Com base nisso, este estudo teve por objetivo apresentar uma proposta para a disseminação e capacitação das TICs sob a óptica do processo de inclusão digital. Entre os objetivos específicos, busca-se debater as noções de ciberespaço e inclusão/exclusão digital; estudar a viabilidade do uso do segmento lan house na inclusão digital; e, apresentar um projeto de inclusão social por meio das lan houses. A partir da pesquisa de campo, elaborou-se uma proposta cuja missão foi incluir digitalmente crianças e adolescentes de baixa renda matriculados em escolas públicas. Por fim, verificou-se que as lan houses podem contribuir de modo eficaz, rápido e com baixo custo no processo da inclusão digital.
