Los Dilemas De Juan Gualberto Gómez Ferrer: 1872-1895

Abstract

El estudio e indagaciones del pensamiento cubano del siglo XIX y las personalidades históricas que lo defendieron, no se han agotado en toda su magnitud, alcance y representación con relación a la defensa de la independencia y soberanía nacional, sobre todo en aquellas que se han conocido como la gente sin historia, tal es el caso de Juan Gualberto Gómez Ferrer. Los autores del presente trabajo dirige la atención a: analizar el contexto en que se forma y se desarrolla el pensamiento patriótico, social e independentista de Juan Gualberto Gómez Ferrer para revelar los dilemas políticos, sociales e ideológicos del mismo, utilizando como material principal los periódicos en que escribió y los fundados por él en el periodo 1876-1895. Los resultados alcanzados a partir de la lectura de las fuentes consultadas, y en particular, los artículos seleccionados en los periódicos La Fraternidad, La Igualdad y las Crónicas Políticas en la Revista Cubana: Periódico mensual. De Ciencia, Filosofía, Literatura y Bellas Artes, son expresión y de los dilemas patrióticos, sociales y políticos que definieron su vida pública en defensa de la patria.
