El Oriente Cubano Y Su Evolución Económica Durante El Siglo Xviii Y El Inicio De La Guerra De Los Diez Años

Abstract

El siguiente trabajo, sustentado en una metodología cuantitativa en gran medida, nos adentra en una caracterización de la evolución económica que tuvo el Departamento Oriental de Cuba durante el siglo XVIII y el inicio de la Guerra de los Diez Años. Para su realización fue de incalculable valor la revisión y análisis de una considerable bibliografía sobre el tema, que a la vez pudieron darle un substancial soporte a las ideas establecidas en el mismo. El apoyo en los censos realizados en Cuba durante la colonia tuvo un especial aporte en el trabajo, sus datos permitieron, sin lugar a dudas, darnos un reflejo del proceso durante todo el período. El sustento en los métodos estadísticos matemáticos, permitieron ir describiendo y caracterizando el panorama viviente de todo el Oriente cubano en la etapa. Se pudieron ofrecer importantes datos para significar las características más notables de la economía departamental durante este lapso de tiempo.
