Las Elecciones Argelinas De Noviembre 1995 Como Legitimación Del Poder: El Papel De La Prensa

Abstract

Los medios de comunicación social juegan un papel básico a la hora de determinar la importancia o no de un conflicto, una guerra, una confrontación o cualquier tipo de violencia. El espacio que dedican en sus medios a dicha noticia la hace visible a todos los lectores o espectadores, que asimilan la información y las imágenes asociadas a la misma, que las agencias de publicidad le transmiten. Muchas noticias o informaciones son tratadas según conveniencias. En este texto queremos estudiar cómo se manipularon las noticias en el conflicto argelino desarrollado en los años noventa del pasado siglo, y qué tipo de discursos se manifestaron mayoritariamente, si a favor del gobierno o a favor de los islamistas.
