Abstract

A festa enquanto manifestação cultural nutre uma sociabilidade festiva que une os habitantes de uma comunidade. Esses eternos rituais que acompanham os homens em momentos extraídos da linearidade do tempo, tem muitas faces. Aqui focalizamos o carnaval como uma festa coletiva repleta de sentidos e significados. O carnaval é um festejar de liberação, um momento de viver intensamente. De origem remota, o Carnaval que incialmente é uma brincadeira de rua, evolui e vai introduzir a dimensão 'espetáculo' que conhece a expressão máxima nos atuais desfiles de escola de Samba redimensionando o Carnaval.
