Abstract

O presente artigo busca refletir um pouco importância do Orçamento Participativo da Cidade de Porto Alegre no Rio Grande do Sul como experiência democrática de participação entre os anos de 1989 a 1999 durante o governo do Partido dos Trabalhadores. Também se pretende debater sobre a questão da autonomia como forma de alcançar parâmetros de justiça sócia e qualidade de vida a partir da perspectiva autonomista. Por fim, uma breve análise dos ensinamentos que podem ser assimilados a partir do êxito dos investimentos contidos na porcentagem referente às demandas da coletividade apontadas pela comunidade e solucionadas pela Gestão Pública.
