Abstract

Históricamente el género ha mediatizado el proceso salud-enfermedad, agudizando significativamente las inequidades en este ámbito, lo que supone notables diferencias en el acceso y atención a los servicios de salud entre hombres y mujeres. En este sentido se impone como reto la incorporación del enfoque de género para contribuir al establecimiento de relaciones equitativas en este ámbito, resaltando la necesidad de desarrollar acciones que tributen a la comprensión y valoración de su trascendencia en el proceso salud enfermedad.
