La Emigración Española En Jobabo Entre 1900-1930

Abstract

Este trabajo constituye un estudio histórico antropológico de la Emigración Española de inicios del siglo XX en Jobabo: a través de un modelo teórico se estudian las condicionantes del proceso migratorio en los polos emisor y receptor, realizándose una comparación del proceso en Jobabo con otras regiones, la provincia y la isla en general, sacando lecturas e inferencias: de la vinculación del proceso de expansión azucarera con el incremento del flujo migratorio, queremos demostrar que la construcción del central Jobabo, atrajo a emigrantes españoles, que permanecieron como trabajadores, constituyendo familias fundadoras, y la influencia cultural que tiene este proceso en la formación de la identidad cultural de la localidad, así como sus aportes a la memoria histórica.
