Abstract

La vulnerabilidad, específicamente en el ámbito social, se ha constituido en un aspecto importante para América Latina, debido a la gran preocupación mostrada tanto de gobiernos y organismos internacionales como de organizaciones políticas, sociales, religiosas y educativas, en torno a las amenazas ambientales. Estas instituciones proponen, diseñan, investigan, ejecutan y aportan recursos y estrategias que contribuyan a la reducción de la vulnerabilidad de las comunidades afectadas.
