Hacia Una Lectura Superior: La Habilidad De Leer

Abstract

Leer es un proceso mental, en el que quién lee debe concentrase en lo que el texto está diciendo, al mismo tiempo que indaga, cuestiona y se mantiene una actitud crítica frente al mismo. El problema es que la mayor parte de la lectura que se realiza es acrítica, utilitaria, objetivista y sólo se hace para adquirir información de las generalidades del texto. El reto es enfrentarlo y ganar la batalla de la comprensión, obtener el gozo de expresar que se ha entendido, comprendido, captado sus tesis y los mensajes que el escrito quiere comunicar. Resulta imposible lograr este fin sin antes desarrollar la habilidad de leer. Sin ellas, no hay, naturalmente, lector; sin lector, no es posible que se realice la comunicación por la vía del texto escrito, la cual, en la actualidad, ha alcanzado casi la paridad con la comunicación oral. Por lo tanto sin lector no hay ciudadano contemporáneo.
