Abstract

Antonio Maceo, su personalidad toda y en particular las concepciones sociales, políticas y morales que desarrolló fueron resultado de su época y de los diferentes contextos históricos con los que compartió, las realidades sociales de Cuba y otras naciones del mundo, las relaciones familiares y de amigos, la masonería y los periodos de preparación de luchas y las propias contienda bélica independentistas confluyeron en la formación de una cosmovisión del mundo que no está expuesta en tratados filosóficos ni con un leguaje rebuscado, ampuloso, sino se encuentra diluida en toda su papelería, y que son resultado de las valoraciones acerca de la sociedad que lo llevaron a adoptar una posición acorde con las exigencias históricas.
